Escent is an artisan perfumery based in the beautiful seaside town of Woolgoolga on the NSW mid north coast. Our passion is for blending essential oils and absolutes to create botanical perfumes and other natural products. Escent products are developed inhouse incorporating our own exclusive and specially formulated essential oil blends. As well as our natural perfumes, we create rollerballs, body and bath products and a few select home fragrance products.
All our perfumes and body and bath products are made with botanical ingredients and herbal extracts, using high quality essential oils, absolutes and natural isolates.
Escent launched in 2013, and has been evolving and growing ever since. Initially, we focussed on body products incorporating our essential oil blends and home fragrance products like candles and reed diffusers. More recently, our handcrafted artisan botanical perfumes were added to the range and have since became our main focus. Using the skills learnt and refined over many years of blending essential oils, perfume making came as a natural progression, an extension of formulating and incorporating the blends used in our bath and body products.
about our founder
Hi! I'm Wendy, Escent Founder and Owner. I was born and raised in a small country town in Northern NSW. Growing up, my grandmother, mother and aunties always had beautiful flower gardens. I loved spending time there smelling the flowers, especially the carnations and roses which left me with beautiful scent memories of their sweet delicate perfumes.
My love for essential oils came about when I attended my first massage course and was introduced to essential oils. Over the next several years, I studied various natural therapy modalities. I've completed many courses including qualifications in Aromatherapy, Remedial Massage and Beauty Therapy. Along the way, I studied Flower Remedies and Australian Bush Flower Remedies, Essential Oil Safety, making skincare and bath products as well as perfumery. I have been formulating and creating natural products for over 20 years.
